Our home built Shepherd Hut is beautifully equipped with everything you will need for a relaxing, memorable and comfortable stay. The hut has a king size bed with a child’s bunk above. The beds have lovely memory foam mattresses and made up with fresh duvets, plump pillows and beautiful linen. The kitchen area contains a small sink with hot and cold running water, double gas hob, pretty china crockery, kitchen and cooking utensils. The wood burning stove will keep you toasty warm and the views from the stable door towards Wistlandpound Reservoir are amazing.
The Shepherd Hut is set away on its own and has a fenced garden with outdoor seating, private fire pit and wood fired hot tub. A Dutch oven is available for cooking on the open fire.
Relax and unwind in the hot tub with a glass of wine and enjoy the stunning countryside views. Enjoy some of our home produced sausages and burgers on the BBQ in your own private garden, overlooking the surrounding fields and our pond which attracts different wildlife. You can even pop on your walking boots and venture down the footpath to Wistlandpound Reservoir to explore the different trails.
The shepherd’s hut was traditionally used in the 19th and 20th century by shepherds during sheep raising and lambing. They were also used while moving flocks around for “natural fertilizer” purposes.
Shepherd’s huts often had iron wheels and corrugated iron tops. We’ve built this one ourselves and reinvented it slightly it’s the perfect romantic get away. Come and live out your childhood gypsy dreams

Camping is also available next to the Shepherds hut for children or extra adults. There is a double ensuit bed and breakfast room in the farm house, available for friends or relations who wish to join you, but for whom camping or glamping is not for them.
